Abduction Alert App

Piku is a smartphone app and hardware beacon that's discreetly integrated into wearable items.

The app was designed with high risk countries in-mind, where the abduction of women, children and professionals who get caught up in instability pose a continual threat.

In the event of an abduction, or any other kind of attack, the wearer simply taps a button either directly on their phone, or any BTLE device with a button such as, beacons, key thobs or other device, which can be connected to their phone via Bluetooth.

The app then broadcasts a distress signal to select emergency contacts on their phone; either through either SMS or if their contacts have the app installed on their phone, it will trigger an alarm and display the victims location on a map in real time.
